Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Yolanda Gilad is committed to making this website accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. This site is designed with reference to Israeli Standard 5568 (based on WCAG 2.1, Level AA) and the accessibility requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law.
Accessibility measures on this site
- Descriptive alternative text (alt text) on every image, so screen readers can convey what each painting shows.
- Text and background colors throughout the site meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
- Full keyboard navigation — every link and control can be reached and activated using the Tab key alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- An on-screen accessibility menu (the ♿ icon in the bottom corner of every page) offering larger text, a high-contrast display mode, and an option to stop animations and smooth scrolling.
- Semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, and lists) to support assistive technologies.
