About the artist
Yolanda Gilad is an Israeli abstract painter — mainly oil, more recently also acrylic — based in Haifa. She loved painting as a child, and returned to it seriously years later as a high school English teacher, when a professional-development course reconnected her with that early passion. From there she developed her own personal style independently.
She served as chairwoman of the Free Painters Organization in Haifa for over twenty years, and has taken part in more than fifty documented solo and group exhibitions across Israel since 2000, along with exhibitions abroad including Moscow.
Her work is defined by rich, saturated color and emotional intensity, often returning to themes of flowers, trees, and human figures.
